1. Students used playdough to represent a number. Students were given a number mat with a ten frame on it. Students identified the number and rolled the playdough to show the number. Students counted and recounted the playdough to correctly represent the numeral.    ### Home Exploration

1. Students used playdough to create equal and unequal parts. Students were shown what equal means by first cutting the playdough into unequal parts. Students were asked if the pieces were the same or not. Students were then shown the playdough cut into equal pieces and were introduced to the words equal and unequal.
