Activities:

1. Students manipulated play dough to cut out shapes using cookie cutters. Students identified squares, triangles, and circles. Students used the play dough shapes to create real world objects, such as a triangle and a square to create the image of a house.

2. Students constructed a triangle fox mask using triangles of different sizes. Students were guided to determine the attribute of a triangle (sides).

3. Students also observed their surroundings to identify shapes around the room such as the squares on the door, the square clock, etc.
Then practiced drawing shapes.

4. Students also independenty identified a specific shape to create a path leading from one point to another across the page.
