Activities:

1. Students wrote their names on a bar graph to compare the length of their names. Students identified whose name was the longest, shortest, and in between.

2. Students also looked at a picture with different types of trucks. Students practiced using tally marks to count the number of each truck. Students then transferred the data onto a bar graph. Students colored blocks to represent the number of trucks.

1. Students participated in the Hokey Pokey song to learn left and right and following directions. Students had identify their right from their left hands and feet.

2. Students also traced their hands and feet to further practice identifying their left from their right hand. Teacher called out either right or left and students had to put their correct hand on their cut outs.
