Activities:

  • Students were given 3 addends equation to add starting from the biggest number. Using the number line, they start to the big number and add the 2 addends by moving forward in the line.
  • Student fill out the missing addend by using the number line. They did this by adding the 2 numbers given and find out how many times they need to jump to go to the sum.
  • Students add the given addends by making their own number line.
  • Using the number line, students were introduced to subtracting with 3 or more subtrahend.
