Activities:

Students were introduced to the two types of measurement on a ruler, inches and centimeter. Students measured objects around the classroom (glue stick, water bottle, strings, white boards, and more) in inches and centimeter. Students measured lines, drawn by tape around the classroom, in inches and centimeter.

Write and tell time to the nearest five minutes using analog and digital clocks.

Activities:

Students practiced telling time on an analog and digital clock. Students created time on a foam clock depending upon what the teacher said. Students said the time aloud by seeing the time on the clock which the teacher made. Students practiced saying and showing different time expressions on the foam clock (half-past, quarter-past, quarter-to).
