1. Discussed how student could use flips, slides and turns to solve pentomino puzzles. Discussed strategies to use when thinking of where the pentamino could fit regarding space.

2. Student solved puzzles using pentomino manipulative pieces. They flipped, slid and turned the pieces to fit the puzzle.

1. Reviewed the definition of elapsed time. Talked about what it means and discussed different situations involving elapsed time.

2. Reviewed simple examples of elapsed time using a clock manipulative.

3. After a few exmples, students did an activity called, "Movie Night." Student was given a variety of movies, the duration of the movie and times it showed. Student answered a variety of questions dealing with elapsed time and showed their thinking.
