Activities:

Student counted base ten blocks to determine the numbers being represented on the task cards. He was able to practice skip counting by 10s and counting on by 1s.

Student also built two digit numbers using base ten blocks. We talked about how there can be different ways to represent the same number and which ways are are quicker than others.

Activities:

We discussed and made observations about a penny, a nickel and a dime. He was able to corectly identify each coin. Student completed a worksheet where he had to match each coin to its front, back and cent amount.
