• Students practiced counting in ascending and descending order. They tossed a bean bag with a partner as they took turns saying the numbers in the correct order.

• Students acted out different subtraction situations with fish and crab counters. They put the appropriate amount of animals, and then took away a given amount to determine how many were left.
• Students played subtraction bowling. They used a large marble to knock down as many mini bowling pins they could out of 10. They recorded the numbers for the subtraction situation and then wrote the matching subtraction equation.    ### Home Exploration
