Activities:

Students used dice to create 2 and 3 digit numbers which they then practiced rounding to the nearest 10's place and 100's place.

Stduents learned the "Boss Baby" rounding method and applied it using their workbooks to create a picture.

Understand that division represents taking a quantity and determining how many equal groups of objects can be made.

Understand there are multiple ways to divide a multi-digit number.

Understand that division equations can be written both vertically and horizontally and division can be indicated using multiple symbols (i.e., ÷, ⟌).

Activities:

Students learned the box method for multiolication and learned to check their work using multiplication.

Students broke into teams and each tem would solve a division priblem using box method or standard method. Once the problems were solved they would check the other teams answer using multiplication.
