Students were given prefilled clear containers for them to estimate the contents of.

Students practiced rounding thier guesses to the nearest 10 and 100.

Activities:

Students used connecting blocks or unifix cubes to create rectangles of varying sizes.

Students calculated the perimeter of their own rectangles then calculated the perimeter of their peers rectangles.

Students were then shown how to use multiplication as a methos rather than continuous adding.
