Activities:

Students practiced equally grouping different sets of images in different ways.

Students practiced grouping a set into groups of a given number (divided by…).

Students learned the concept of "remainder" and understood that sometimes they wont get a whole number answer when they divide (i.e. dividing 5 by 2, remainder is 1).

Students were introduced to the "Dad Mom Sister Brother"/"DMSB" method of long division.
