Activities:

Students placed "Blink" Cards in sequence based on the number of objects on the card.

Students were given cards at random and identified the numer of objects on the card by

counting, then placed the card with one less object before, and one more object after. They placed cards in sequences up to five.

Students placed foam number puzzle pieces in sequence.

Students completed connect-the-dots worksheets in which they had to follow a number sequence to complete the image.

Activities:

Students filled measuring cups, bowls, and spoons with beans to determine the carrying capacity of each. They use the balance scales to compare the capacity between two different objects (how much each object can hold).

Students determined which objects could scooped more at a time versus others, and how to balance the scales when comparing (snaller scoop needed more scoops to balance with larger scoop).

Students discussed the heaviness (weight) of each filled object based on how they feel holding the objects.
