Activities:

Students partnered up and played "Shake and Add". Each partner took one number die, rolled it, and put pompoms in their own cups according to the number they got. Next, they poured the pompoms out of each of their cups into a single tray and counted how many pompoms they have in all.

 

Students played "Addition Bowling" in which they added up their points for every pin they knock over.

 

Students learned how to "tally" numbers 1 through 5.
