Activities:

Students made paint handprints and compared sizes of hands between classmates (and the teacher). They ranked the hands by size from smallest to largest.

Students partnered up and measured each other using paint handprints, determining how tall each of them are with each students' hands as a unit.

Students discussed which hands needed to make less prints than others to measure the same person or object.

Students measure the length of objects around the room using handprints.
