###### Vocabulary:

Logical Reasoning, Deductive Reasoning

Activities:

• Engaged in a "Blockus," a critical thinking game in which players are given "Tetris"-like shapes in corresponding colors and must span the 20x20 unit board, taking up as many square units as possible.
• Students practiced spatial reasoning ("which block can I place where?"), strategic planning ("how can I block other players from expanding?), and critical thinking skills ("In what order should I place my blocks to cover the most space as possible?).
• Helped other players with clues, communicating effectively without giving away answers.
• In a similar logic puzzle, students are required to study the clues given and color the figure given so that none of the same 4 colors are ever touching, practicing deductive logic and "If/Then" statements.
